Turbary Woods raises its own funds to carry out the vital rescue and rehabilitation work.  We visit local Summer fetes, Shows and private functions. During the last 5 years we have become very popular at all the events we have taken part in and we find many times we are booked for the following year.

Andy Cook and David Sears Flying Day

Andy Cook and David Sears will be providing a special flying day at Turbary woods on the  17th & 18th July. He will bring at least 4 falcons, Steppe, Red Tail, Harris. They will all fly 2 or 3 times a day on both days so we can do impromptu displays throughout the day. He is also bringing his portable pa system as we will need to be in the centre of the field to give the falcons space as they come in at a hell of a speed.
 
Boris, the Steppe Eagle will keep circling the field until called in so should be quite a good display.

Andy Cook

Andy is a very experienced Falconer flying Gyr/Saker hybrids, Ferruginous Buzzards and Peregrine hybrids. He entertains the public with a most impressive demonstration of Harris Hawks and Ferrets, including supervised visitor participation and his jovial mannerism is a real hit with the general public.
